With today's entry, we begin a series on how to properly receive an apartment from the developer or from the seller (in the case of a secondary market apartment). These entries will be marked#krb_handover.

Polish construction has several guidelines that the contractor/developer is obliged to follow. They are:
- Polish law (most often these will be regulations)
- Polish standards (purely technical guidelines for a specific type of work)
- compliance with building art – that is, compliance with other generally accepted and applied guidelines that are usually not included in the documents mentioned above
- contract with the developer, attachments, and project
- common sense and aesthetics
